The 4th International Youth Forum on Human Rights and SDGs is an open event organized by the Sustainable Development Council (SDC), an organization with Special Consultative Status with the United Nations ECOSOC since 2021, in collaboration with leading international NGOs. This forum aims to engage young people in meaningful discussions and actions related to human rights and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It serves as a platform for youth leaders, activists, policymakers, and experts from across the globe to exchange ideas, share experiences, and develop strategies to promote human rights and advance the SDGs.
Participants include youth delegates alongside officials and advocates from around the world who are dedicated to the promotion of SDGs and human rights. Since its inception in 2017, the Summit has evolved into a key platform for fostering international partnerships and building lasting friendships among delegates from over 90 countries. Ministers, legislators, United Nations officials, ambassadors, human rights advocates, and leaders from the non-profit sector also actively participate, enriching the discussions and collaborative efforts.
The Opening Session on the first day of the Summit will feature high-level diplomats and officials who will extend a warm welcome to the Youth Delegates from various countries. The remainder of the day will be devoted to a series of presentations and panel discussions that focus on the critical issues related to the SDGs and human rights, and explore strategies to effectively address these challenges. On the second day, the forum will continue with additional presentations and panel discussions. Officials and advocates will highlight their efforts to transform SDGs and human rights commitments into tangible global outcomes, emphasizing the transition from policy development to concrete action.
